June 15, 2007 at 1:19 pm (movie, outing, tamagotchi)
We finally had a very belated 5 Mars group hang last night, except without Thoina and Mrina, and including our 5 Jupiter person, Nigel

Sean, Freddie, Ching, Asyraf, Nigel, Gamms and I met up in
La Bodega yesterday for drinks and chit-chat, FINALLY, after days of FFKing each other. After that, Sean, Freddie, Ching and I went to
A&W Petaling Jaya to eat cause we’re pigs like that. We decided to go to
Lionel’s (who we sent off at KL Sentral yesterday, boo hoo! He’s all the way back in Indonesia now, sigh) apartment to watch
200 Pound Beauty which everyone loved and cried to (yes, 2 guys and 2 girls, and both guys and a girl end up crying) except for me. I don’t know why, I just find her damn annoying. Like, shut up and stop whining for heaven’s sake. You’re already gorgeous, so just … stop whining! :O
Ching and Freddie argued in the car all the way to Mont Kiara from A&W, and then all the way through the movie as well. It started out with them “debating” about equal rights first, and then it moved on to whatever Ching said, Freddie would disagree. Then it went on to how Freddie said Ching called him a jerk, but Ching denies it and says that if she were to call Freddie anything, it would be an ass.
Was dead tired after all that, so I came home and slept. Woke up at 1PM after 10 hours of glorious, restful sleep. Aaahh
I think I’m starting to get lazy and pig-like because I’m on such a long holiday. I’ve been on holiday since April, and I only start school in July
So nice, but it tends to get boring a lot. Meh.
My tamagotchi grew to a Memetchi
It’s so cute!

It’s official.
Sean and I have no life
We went out today and came back home with two of these.

I’m glad my boyfriend’s manly enough to cater to my every whim and fancy, even when it’s a tad bit too feminine for him

Mine is pink and his is blue. Mine’s a girl (after I reset it
five times) and his is a boy! We’re gonna make them have cute little Tama babies, you just wait and see.
Today Sean, Chantel and I sent Lionel to the airport because he was going back to Indonesia — except we left Mont Kiara at 2.55PM for a 3.55PM flight, and you have to check in at least an hour before an international flight. We got to the airport at about 3.20PM and the check in counter was closed already so Lionel missed his flight!
He’s going off tomorrow instead. On the way home, I drove and it was raining quite heavily, graaawwwrr.
I’m off to play with my new toy some more, heh heh. Toodles!

Did you know that the
University round-about in Petaling Jaya is gone? They finally completed construction of the flyover that connects the 3 o’clock road to the 9 o’clock road, and then right underneath it is a traffic light. Sean and I had a huge shock when we decided to go for
A&W at 2AM last night. The round-about was just there when we went to
SS2 last week, and now it’s .. GONE. It’s damn shocking. At least the traffic is more controlled now, but I will miss that round-about. Sigh. T’was the first round-about I ever drove through. So sad!
Today was my last Mandarin class. Again, so sad
I’m gonna miss my Mandarin teacher okay, he’s such a cute eccentric old man. I think I’ve seen him way more often than I’ve seen any of my friends, considering I have tuition everyday! Sigh! He’s a nice man lah. If anyone wants an awesome Mandarin teacher who specializes in intensive courses, let me know! He charges RM70 per lesson, and used to teach in Taylor’s College too!
Reading Pearly’s post about her car and parking ticket reminds me of a similar dilemma Sean and I were in a few weeks ago. I don’t think I’ve blogged about this here, heh heh. What happened was that we spent half an hour looking for the bloody parking ticket all over his car, under his car, around his car .. EVERYTHING. We couldn’t find the damn thing and our efforts to steal another ticket failed (I didn’t know you have to have a car in front of the machine before it dispenses a ticket!), so we had to pay the lost ticket fee which was … RM50. We were both a bit depressed as we left Midvalley, and then SUDDENLY, Sean saw something reflecting in between his seat and the handbrake and voila, there it was.
The spooky thing was that I ran my hand down there at least a hundred times, and I even had a good look in that exact same spot. Not only that, but Sean did the same thing about a thousand times. So we had to double-back and inform them that we found the ticket — and they refunded our RM50
Hooray!
I should be sleeping now. Early dim sum tomorrow with Sean

My legs have turned into rubber. I suppose that’s what dancing non-stop from 10PM to 2AM does to you :S It’s not like clubbing you know, where you can sit down, have a drink, get up and dance to relaxing, laid-back R&B music some more, yadda yadda yadda. It’s a bloody rave where you have to stand up and dance
energetically for heaven’s sake. Boom, boom, boom, boom, boom! Watching people start to
fly high was funny though, heh heh! But for heaven’s sake, if you decide to pop, please put on your sunglasses because watching your eyes roll everywhere is quite very the scary, okay.
Benny Benassi’s set was a big let-down. I didn’t like it at all except for the last song (remixed Fix You by Coldplay). It all sounded repetitive and boring, meh. Sean and I ventured over to the R&B area instead. Bass Agents and DJ Desire were good. I liked them better than Benassi. I thought the whole “rave in a car park” thing looked pretty cool, and the UV lights were pretty and glowy, but hello, how can you run out of beer at a rave? Not only that, to buy bloody drinks, you have to look for the chicks in red UV Nation shirts to buy coupons from them, and they have the annoying habit of wandering off somewhere. I mean please, if you’re selling the damn drink coupons, JUST STAY IN FRONT OF THE DRINKS COUNTER!
Well, the whole world (except Mrina who’s too much of a nerd to go) was there including my 15 year old sister and her friends. Good heavens. The whole world was at Devi’s after that too. Saw everyone when we headed over there at about 3AM. Hung around, chit-chatted with Justin, blah blah blah, came back home at 5AM and woke up about an hour ago feeling quite awake and refreshed for god know’s what reason.
Ching Yi called me just now — SHE’S BACK!!!!

I’ve been trying to watch the finale of
Australia’s Next Top Model for two days now, and I can’t because my stupid internet connection keeps cutting off those damn Youtube videos, raaawwrr! I hate Malaysian internet with a passion *pokes it* I’m really curious to see who wins — Alice or Steph. I like them both in their own way, but I honestly don’t see Steph’s face as being as beautiful as the judges constantly rave about. Meh. And how bitchy was it when Jane went to hug Steph and just ignored Alice?! :O I love Jane though, she’s all sorts of awesome.
I’m very angry at the MAS website because the booking thingy is so freaking annoying. Here I am trying to book my flight, and it keeps timing out. I don’t dare refresh anything because I don’t want to get another $3000 charge billed on the credit card, thank you. Right now, I’m flying on the 28th of June, hooray! I was worried that Jun Wei and Wy Keith would be back in KL by then, and I don’t want to stay all alone in a three bedroom apartment .. but Wy Keith’s not coming back and David’s staying there for awhile too! Yay.
Tonight’s Benny Benassi at UV Nation
I’m pumped! I’m a bit iffy about the idea that it’s in One Utama, and in the car park no less .. but we’ll see. Who knows, it could be kinda cool. UV lights and all that. I have no idea what I want to wear yet, but I wanna wear a bit of white so I glow, heh heh! Cheap thrills!

Out of all the reactions upon hearing that our beloved Prime Minister is going to
walk down the aisle again, I think
Sean’s one is the best. Among the whispers and scandalous looks, and the happy wishes for the couple, my boyfriend’s one stands out the most.
Me: Did you hear that Pak Lah’s getting married again?
Sean: Who’s Pak Lah?
Then at the petrol station, we headed to the air pump to pump his tires, and there was a huge sign saying Angin & Air.
Sean: What’s “angin”? Water is it? So it’s Water & Air?
Me: Angin is wind lah! And air is WATER! You know, like how I order air suam?!
Sean: … oh!
I tell you, I love my boyfriend lah. He outblondes me.
We played poker with Daniel, Justin, and Lionel last night! In the end, it was just Daniel and me, but Daniel won in the end
I’m not very good in poker, although I suppose it’s all luck instead of skill — but I have no poker face, heh heh. I was hungry throughout the entire game, so I was sorta just throwing money away in hopes that the game would end faster, and my roti telur would end up in my stomach sooner. Unfortunately, the game went on for 4 bloody hours, and it was 3.30AM by the time I ended up eating

I took this photo somewhere along Jln. Bukit Bintang sometime last year. It’s always been in my
DeviantArt portfolio, and one of the more “awakening” photos I’ve taken. Recently, it has been featured in a culture news article regarding poverty, and the
Make Poverty History charity on DeviantArt over
here
It’s an insightful article with a lot of other (and better!) photos as well, so be sure to check it out.

In case you didn’t notice (which you have to be pretty blind not to) I decided to get rid of the previous layout and put up something more user friendly and simple — something easier to read without taking 2391284 years to load, and also compatible in more browsers too. All HTML and CSS have been
validated except the stupid Blogger codes which I can’t be bothered with. Blogger’s codes are so incredibly messy, it’s pissing me off. I’m still using HTML 4.0 because I’m too lazy to change it to XHTML which is even more user friendly and compatible. I’ll do that tomorrow night or something, I can’t be bothered to do it now. I never really understood XHTML tags, so I’ll read up on it later. Right now my eyes are crossed from coding and designing and configuring!
Today I went to buy cloth for the dress the tailor is sewing me. I had to buy three pieces — black velvet, cotton, and lace. My Mom asked me to buy the cloth myself because she says I’m incredibly fussy when it comes to my clothes (which is very true, proof is the dozens of tailored dresses I have which didn’t turn out to my liking). So I bought all three pieces and was very happy with myself except my Mom calls to tell me the velvet is too thick, the cotton looks too cheap, and the lace looks like a curtain!
Graaawwrr!
Sean and I met Daniel and Daphne at Decanter for drinks just now. After awhile, Freddie, Lionel, and Justin came too. I had my first mug of beer in god know’s how long
The quitting drinking thing has really agreed with me. I don’t know, when you kinda (really) almost died, you tend to think twice about things you used to do frequently. My Mom claims the health specialist (WTF) told her to put me on a brown rice and water ONLY diet for a week. BROWN RICE AND WATER ONLY, okay.
Don’t mess!

I didn’t realise the whole blogosphere was talking about
Nuffnang vs.
Advertlets, but oh well, I have both. I don’t really care which earns more, which has so-and-so features, blah blah blah. I’m a
girl.
I like pretty things. The reason why I signed up with Advertlets first before Nuffnang was because
the Advertlets website and control panel was prettier and easier to use
However, I then noticed Advertlets had a
100 visitors a day policy, and I only get roughly about 70-80 unique visitors a day (a far cry from those days when my old blog used to have 140-200 unique readers a day, ah those were the days). And
it also took Advertlets a long, long time to inform me about what was going on with my account after I successfully collected 50 poll thingies and all that, so I got fed up and joined Nuffnang. Nuffnang was
really fast to inform me that my stats were collected, and that I had an advertiser interested. So far, they’re my favourite. Advertlets tends to leave me in the dark about some things — like I would have appreciated being informed when the 50 collections were done, and a rough time frame and explanation of what happens next .. that sorta thing, you know? After that I noticed that Advertlets reduced their unique visitors a day thingy to 50, and I definitely could meet that so I re-posted the Advertlets banner up here. Then apparently now I think they don’t require you have a certain number of unique hits, but of course, you don’t earn much money with low hits.
Anyway to sum it up, I like Advertlets because
the website is pretty. The
control panel is pretty. The
ad banners they place are pretty (although I’m not quite sure why my Advertlets banner doesn’t align as well as my Nuffnang one).
Nuffnang’s control panel’s quite ugly. I like Nuffnang because they were
fast in doing things, so
I didn’t have to ask questions before
everything was explained to me. Other than that, I don’t really care which gives you more or which has what features. I don’t expect to make money from my blog because I don’t get that many unique hits (honestly, you’d be wasting your time if you got below 50 unique hits a day anyway) — but I’ve always wanted to try ad scripts out, and since these two are local, it encouraged me to join
Okay enough babbling, on to the last part of photos from Melaka!

On the way back from
Sean’s house today, we got stuck in this massive jam on
Jalan Duta. After sitting in stand-still traffic for 45 minutes, I decided to go join the other people who were getting out of their cars to see what was going on. It was drizzling, pretty cold, the grass was muddy, and I was in shorts and my pretty baby blue (and very easily stained)
Havainas so needless to say, the
busybody Malaysian in me came out.
