Party Party

Maison was fun stuff as always :) :) It was even better because I had Zehan, Mar, AND there that night too! It’s always either just Mrina, or just Zehan and Mar, so it was awesome that all three of them were there at once, hee hee. Went to Devi’s after that as usual to eat, and then I took Sean’s car home, and spent the rest of the night chit-chatting with Mrina in bed. I can’t really remember what we did the next day, meh, but I do remember going to Laundry with Soung Ern, Shaun, Kay, Freddie, and Lionel, and then moving on to Decanter after that .. Saturday night I think? Meh! The days are just clashing together already, pah.

Lately so far Sean and I have watched Yesterday Once More (damn sad, confirm cry) and 23 which was meh, okay. I didn’t really like it that much though it was quite interesting, I suppose!

Photos from Maison and stuff later cause they’re with Ze, and I’m too lazy to upload the ones I have :P

Mamboing The Jambo

Sean and I went for a bit of shopping yesterday because he wanted new shirts, and I was bored. Picked up the Nike bag I’ve always admired but never bought because I don’t do sling bags! But Sean convinced me that it can be slung over my shoulder, and insisted that I get it so whatevs, I got it :P It’s big so I can use it for uni too, hee hee.

We had dinner with his parents in Cheras and then he sent me home so I could change. Headed over to Zouk with Lionel, Chor Yee, and Justin since we were in the mood for some Mambo Jambo! The moment we got there, they played That Thing You Do — I mean come on, THAT’S THE MOST AWESOME SONG EVER IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF AWESOME SONGS! The songs were aaaawwweeessooommeee :D :D They played a few current hits too, and who can resist podium dancing to Don’t Cha hmm hmm hmm?! The only thing missing: Miss Lee Ching Yi, my fellow Don’t Cha sister, pfft!

I went clubbing for the first time since my ruptured appendix. Go me!

I was looking at something, and I started tearing up because I felt so happy, just like a proud mama! My emotions are all over the place, you’ve got to excuse me :(

Maison tonight, looking forward to the company more than anything else :)

I Have A Headache

Something Zehan said in her blog stuck with me.

This whole ‘hoo-haa, lets party’ thing might have been cool in high school, but it’s time to grow up

I couldn’t agree more.

I don’t know what’s been wrong with me lately.

Last time I was the first one to suggest we go out dancing, we go out drinking, we go out partying … but not anymore. Somehow all the loud music, bright lights, and booze has stopped filling up the emptiness inside. Somehow it doesn’t matter anymore whether or not Guy A hit on you, or Girl B gave you her number. Somehow the alcohol and drugs that you once needed became something you can’t stand. Sometimes I just want more out of life than the stereotypical things we teenagers think we need.

I completely stopped smoking (even shisha), I stopped drinking (well okay fine, maybe I do have the occasional cocktail every now and then, but definitely no more vodka shots every night!), I stopped having the urge to go clubbing .. EVERYTHING .. because it just doesn’t make me feel better. I suppose I’ve just been turning to everything else to try to make me feel better, when in reality, it’s just made me so much worse. But you know what? Even though all that’s gone now, I still feel empty.

And for heaven’s sake, don’t suggest I try turning to religion because we all know how much I detest and oppose it.

We’re young.

We should be having fun.

At the prime of our lives.

Are you?

I’m not.

Nyaaaahhh!

Mrina, Sean, and I had lunch over at Ninja Jones yesterday because Mrina wanted Japanese food, and I’ve been wanting to show Sean how pretty Ninja Jones is for so long now :P Seriously, it’s THE PRETTIEST restaurant I’ve ever been too. I just adore the deco there, including the poor waiters dressed as ninjas! The food there is generally quite good too, and pretty reasonable for its standard! I think it kicks Jogoya’s ass ANY DAY! Nyah! :X Mrina had her boring chicken teppanyaki and rice, Sean had the massive bento set thingy which came with a shit load of stuff, and I had the beef steak and sashimi set which was pleasantly filling, heh heh.

I accidentally closed the car door on Mrina’s fingers yesterday :X IT WASN’T MY FAULT! I was sitting in front and she was sitting at the back, and she managed to get her fingers caught in my door! Her poor fingers were all swollen up, so we had to rush home to put ice on it, hahaha. And the handicapped woman still wanted to play cards with her swollen fingers. Too much, I tell you.

Sean, Mar, Ze, and I were chilling at Asyraf’s house yesterday during Sha’s thing, when we at first decided to go karaoke, but then Sean’s friends were all at Daniel V’s house so we decided to go over there instead and watch them record. I LOVE Daniel’s studio! It’s very chilling :) And the song they were recording guitar riffs for was really good. He let us listen to some of his stuff on his upcoming album too, and whoooooaaaa, I DEFINITELY WANT!

My Mandarin teacher was supposed to be here 12 minutes ago, and he’s normally quite punctual .. poopies :( I’ve been seeing him every single day man, I need a break!

Eye On Malaysia

In yet another fit of nothing-to-do-ness, Sean and I decided to go check out the Eye On Malaysia last night. We managed to find our way to Titiwangsa (I still don’t know how, but we did it!) and were greeted by this huuuuuuuuge line outside the wheel o_O Darn Friday nights! They had some laser water show thing going on though, which was quite cool actually because they were projecting images on a water screen, and had funky lights drawing out famous buildings in KL.

The ride was freaking long man. We went seven rounds! By then, we were both feeling quite very the dizzy already, graaarhhh! The first round was quite scary because it does go up quite high, but then after the second or third round, it gets boring, meh.

We went to Decanter after that with Lionel, Daniel V, Shaun, and Justin and bummed around there until 2ish. I kept sneezing like a mofo the entire night, man. I don’t know what’s wrong with my nose lately. I’ve been having a terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE cold for the past week, and let’s just say I’ve used up a lot of tissue boxes in this house so far. Sigh!

The Melbourne Model 2008?

Can someone explain to me what The Melbourne Model is about? All I know (from someone) is that they’re completely restructuring the way the degrees are currently structured effective from 2008. If that’s so, then thank god I entered uni in 2007, heh. The new way looks confusing. Chris was telling me about it when we were walking to class one day, but I forgot, heh heh :P

Speaking of uni, I’m registering for my classes now to save myself the headache later on. At least now I can breeze through orientation and not be stressed about timetables clashing and stuff. When I go back in July, at least then I can skip orientation week (after all, I went for all of it already!) and registeration and spend my days sleeping the cold away :P I’m gonna be taking completely different subjects because the subjects I took in February are not offered in July — I have to wait for February next year (my second semester) to take them. Eurgh.

There’s this (very) short poll thing on the right of my blog *points* Do me a favour and fill it out? Please? It’s very short (only about 4 questions) and they’re no-brainers anyway, just a bunch of demographic information. Thanks :)

Loving You

Last night Sean took me out for a “I’m sorry I was an ass” dinner because he was an ass which resulted in me catching the worst cold I’ve ever caught in my entire life due to me freezing my ass off on the roof of One Utama in a skimpy top and hot shorts while it was raining and windy. It was not so much fun, let me tell you that! Anyway, he didn’t want to tell me where we were going and after getting stuck in the horrible KL rush hour jam, we had dinner at Chalet, Hotel Equatorial, one of the most expensive restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life, and also one of the best for Western cuisine! The last time I was there was for my Grandfather’s birthday, and we managed to chalk up a bill that ran in the thousands!

Anyway, we had yummy oysters (which were a gazillion times better than the ones we had at Blue Fire on Valentine’s Day) and yummy escargot as well (which actually wasn’t super good, but it was okay), and I had the rack of lamb which was okay too while he had the beef with foie gras, and to top it all off, I had the lemon meringue … tart thing .. which looked extremely puny in comparison to his pretty spectacular tiramisu with dry ice o_O

He also gave me the hugest bouquet of flowers, and the wordiest card I’ve ever received! :)

And then we got serenaded by the quartet who asked what song we wanted, and we couldn’t come up with anything so they chose Minnie Riperton – Lovin’ You for us. OMG baby, we have a song! :D :D

Lovin’ you is easy cause you’re beautiful
Makin’ love with you is all i wanna do
Lovin’ you is more than just a dream come true
And everything that i do is out of lovin’ you
La la la la la la la… do do do do do

No one else can make me feel
The colors that you bring
Stay with me while we grow old

And we will live each day in springtime
Cause lovin’ you has made my life so beautiful
And every day my life is filled with lovin’ you

Lovin’ you i see your soul come shinin’ through
And every time that we oooooh
I’m more in love with you
La la la la la la la… do do do do do

And when we left, they gave me a rose too :) :) Very the nice! We wanted to go to Luna Bar after that, but we ended up going to Somo instead. They changed the menu since the last time I was there (before I left for Melbourne) so now they don’t have the normal peach chu hai no more! :( I tried the Winter Sonata which is quite okay lah, but I still liked the very unalcoholic tasting chu hai better, hmph.

Here’s a very random photo of Mrina and I which has nothing to do with this blog entry, but because I really like this photo of us together, and it’s my blog so I can do whatever I want :D It was taken in my house the day Sean came back from Melbourne, hooray! As you can see, my hair is now a lovely salon-dyed brown instead of the horrific Sean-dyed red it was, nyaks :P

So What-everrrr

My current ringtone is Avril Lavigne – Girlfriend because I’m ashamed to say that I find the song incredibly catchy, and that I detest Avril Lavigne but for this song … I’ll make an exception :) Mrina cringes everytime my phone rings (which isn’t a lot, come to think of it …) and in Melbourne, Aaron D (I’m renaming him because it sounds cooler than just Aaron, hahaha) cringes everytime Sean calls me because my special tone for him is Beyonce – Irreplaceable. Hee hee! Mrina’s ringtone is awesome because it’s Johnny Cash – Ring Of Fire, one of the best songs EVER. I haven’t yet deciphered what Sean’s main ringtone is supposed to be, but normally it’s either Muse – Starlight or Justin Timberlake – My Love, and for his other phone, it’s normally My Chemical Romance – Famous Last Words. I’m not too sure what Zehan’s ringtone is either, but I know it’s Jet – Are You Gonna Be My Girl? when her Mom calls her, and sometimes it’s Justin Timberlake – My Love as well. I haven’t been around Ching or Jun Wei recently, but when I left, both of them were using Mariah Carey which is of course, the most awesome thing ever. Yes, in case you couldn’t tell, I like listening to ringtones, hee hee.

It was Thoina’s birthday two days ago so The 5Mars Gang (minus Ching, Kin, and Iylia) met up for movie night at my house. We played poker most of the time though, and since no one had money, we played with roasted nuts. So awesome. I ended up losing all my money first, and had to borrow nuts off from Sean :( So sad. Apparently I quite suck at poker. Hmph. Poker is the new tai dee, okay!

Sean, Lionel and I watched Stranger Than Fiction yesterday, and it was quite okay, but I fell asleep halfway through the movie so I wouldn’t know much, heh. Interesting plot, cool actors, blah blah blah. I don’t know if I mentioned but I’ve been taking Mandarin tuition for one and a half hours EVERYDAY. And I’m supposed to keep on with that until I leave for Melbourne again, poop!

Speaking of Melbourne, can I just say that I am never using my debit card again. I always knew that you know, the statement will print what you’ve spent on, but HELLO, I didn’t expect my Mom to ask me for the statement and right on there in big, bold letters has the exact amount I spend EVERYWHERE. I see GUCCI and BETTINA LIANO on there most prominently, with the numbers in the hundreds. Holy shit. I’m just going to be smart and pay in cash from now on, thank you very much! :O

100th Post

Sometimes I wonder if I expect too much from people. Sometimes I think I do, sometimes I think I don’t, sometimes I’m just too plain lazy to think. Oh well, I don’t know, I like not thinking because thinking just makes your head hurt. I like to think that I may have become what I’ve never wanted to become, but in reality, I know deep down inside that I have always been like that. Now I’m just confusing you, aren’t I? There hasn’t been an emo post from me for awhile so just deal with it!

On a happier note, HAPPY 19TH BIRTHDAY TO MY FAVOURITE BITCH, CHING YI! I wish I could be in Melbourne celebrating with you, and I’m so, so sorry that I forgot Melbourne was 2 hours ahead! I was waiting for midnight in KL when I realised, oh shit, it’s already 1AM in Melbourne! :( I miss you biatch, and I can’t wait for you to come back next month! :)

I had one of the best conversations I’ve had in a long time tonight with my darling Asyraf. It’s been awhile since I’ve had something like that, just sitting down in a mamak talking about every single thing under the sun, filling in each other on what the other has missed. I really, really miss that.

This is the 100th post by the way, woo-hoo.

Dum Dee Dum

Sean and I went to The Curve today because I had to redeem and renew and use up this Metrojaya voucher thing I have, but there’s nothing there so I’m gonna use it in the Midvalley Metrojaya instead since they have LeSportsac there :D Bumped into Evie there and she informed me that it was Min Huei’s birthday, so I quickly called him to wish him! :X I’m terrible at remembering birthdays. Note to self: Ching’s birthday is tomorrow. Forgetting it would lead to dire consequences!

Had ice cream, and wedges, and kaya balls (such pigs, I tell you :P ) and I fell in love with this beautiful miniature schnauzer puppy in Pet Safari. She was so sweet, and so adorable, and I wanted to take her home so badly … except home is kinda 8 hours away by plane. Hmph. I so should stay away from pet shops in Melbourne because I’d come home with 6 puppies and 3 kittens in tow, and Sean will kick me out and never speak to me again :X

Went aaaalllll the waaaaayyyy to visit Mrina for a bit, before heading back for dinner at Bangsar. I didn’t know there’s a new boutique there called Oopsie Daisie — so cute! :D I bought a dress/top there, and the prices are actually really reasonable compared to the other boutiques in Bangsar (*cough cough* Baci *cough cough*) They only opened a month ago. Go check them out — the same row as Gossips, right on top of Ronnie Q’s.

We watched Scoop last night which I thought was quite good. Scarlett Johansson annoys me, but Woody Allen is fantastic! Sean bought a whole pile of DVDs last night, so we’re slowly going through them, and not to forget we have another huge pile back in Melbourne to go through too. I don’t see what all the fuss is about 300 though. It’s not my type of flick :S

I’m super addicted to Australia’s Next Top Model ever since I watched the first episode in the hospital. I find it much better than the American one, meh!
