Bye Bye

I’m sorry for the long absence but well …

I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL, OKAY!

Best excuse for not blogging … ever. The sad thing is that it’s true :( Remember how I was saying that I wasn’t feeling well and shit? Well last Friday I went to the hospital because the doctor insisted, and I waited for 15 hours before I was treated. And this was in the emergency room, okay. Sean, Jun Wei, Aaron, Ashleigh, and Jun came to keep me company — thank you guys (heart heart heart).

Basically what was wrong with me was that, erm, well, I apparently had appendicitis but I didn’t know that I did, so I left it and my appendix ruptured and burst. I had to have surgery at 4 in the morning :( Apparently it was quite serious (it hasn’t sunk in yet for me) because the doctors are wondering why I didn’t die. Apparently people die when their appendix bursts :S :S

So being cooped up in the hospital for a week is no fun. They didn’t let me eat or drink for 4-5 days, so I was hooked up on an IV tubey thingy, and I had tubes and masks and wires coming out from all over my body. Not a pretty sight :( Oh well, all’s done is done, now here comes the big news.

I’M COMING BACK TO MALAYSIA NEXT WEEK

Yep. Mellissa will be back in Malaysia next week. Recovery time is at least 8 weeks long and if I stay here, I will miss classes for 5 weeks. By the time I recover, it would be exam week already. Therefore I have decided to defer and start again in the July intake again. I’m aiming to be back in KL for a month plus only, but I may have to stay longer if I’m not yet well enough.
On the bright side, Sean is coming back to KL with me :) :) Loves! Not to forget, my darling and Gediks, Ezra and Mrina will be around too! I expect you guys to keep me fully entertained with DVDs and board games since I will be under house arrest!

On a slightly more lovey-dovey note, thank you for being there for me in the hospital every single day, baby, and for offering to come back to KL with me too. I love you.

Super Sexy

It’s been awhile!

I haven’t had the time to sit down and blog properly, I’ve been on my feet so much lately. Speaking of being on my feet, yesterday I walked from Franklin St. all the way home because the stupid trams all stopped at QV. Bugger! It was so cold as well, and I had no jacket, and I think that’s why I fell sick last night. Not sick enough to prevent me from going to Sing’s housewarming at Southbank though! :) :) I like her place, it’s purdy!

I felt super sick last night, like super duper sick. Couldn’t be bothered to take the tram back from Southbank, so Sean and I took a cab instead. Apparently I was quite feverish, but not enough to stop me from attempting to learn to shuffle with Maggie from Jackie and Ashleigh as well, hahaha. Eh, I can do the running man watchamacallit thing, okay! With all the feng tou music and stuff, don’t mess! :P After that I curled myself up in the comforter and talked gibberish to Sean all night long. All I remember saying is “Poor Melly. Poor, poor Melly. Poor sick Melly.” I’ve also learned a neat trick. I can rotate the entire comforter 180 degrees when I sleep, so the suede pattern part will be at my feet, when they were at my shoulders. Damn cool.

I wanted to upload photos of the Moomba Waterfest, but I’m way too lazy. It was tons of fun though, all the rides and games and fireworks and stuff. Bernard won me a huge stuffed pony, so I’m happy :D :D

Was gonna get the pink LG Chocolate right? Except it’s been discontinued so I got this little baby instead. Say hello to the awesomely fuckeristically sexy Samsung X830.

It’s approxiamtely the same size as the old iPod Shuffle. I thought a sexy phone should go with a sexy phone strap, so I went to Gucci and bought a hot pink phone strap as well, heh heh. Photos of the two together (with the funky hot pink sock they gave me) later on lah, I’m too lazy now. The Gucci salespeople were all so amazed by my phone *pats it*

Chai Min Huei, where is my copy of The Matrics?! :O

Gonna go look for Sean now, later days! :) :)

What The Fuck?

Yet the culture war is essentially a cover for the real battle of ideas in Australian politics today: the battle between free-market fundamentalism and the social-democratic belief that individual reward can be balanced with social responsibility. Howard’s culture war is in large part an electoral strategy drawn straight from the Republican Party’s campaign manual. Its organising principle is fear, and it is deployed in two parts. The first of these is the conscious exacerbation of fear, anxiety and uncertainty – all of which are powerful (though, in effect, disempowering) emotions capable of overriding everything else in the human mind. The second part is to proffer the healing balm of “certainty” in the midst of all the anxiety-inducing “uncertainty”, by running a series of falsely dichotomous arguments in the public debate: tradition versus modernity; absolutism versus moral relativism; monoculture versus multiculture.

Can I just ask, why the fuck am I taking Political Science again? This was taken from an article by Kevin Rudd, the Opposition leader (who I used to like and support until it was compulsary for me to read this for my tutorial).

Please read the excerpt from Kevin Rudd’s recent article in the Monthly Magazine. What is Rudd suggesting about the ideological contraditions of Howard’s speech? Do you agree and why/why not? Come prepared to discuss your reasoning in your tutorial.

Oh, I am so screwed!

To A Very Special Person

Babe, you know if Sean had a jet plane, you’d be on it this very second, flying your ass over to Melbourne! You don’t deserve that shit, you shouldn’t even have to tolerate his shit. I miss you lah babe, I miss you and your anger and your rage also :P :P I MISS THE DRAMA WE GET INTO TOGETHER. Please get your ass over to Melbourne ASAP, kthnxbye.

PS: I have no credit so I can’t SMS so apparently I have to talk to you through my blog or e-mail or MSN, hahahaha. So very the kesedihan :P

You’re not alone, together we stand, I’ll be by your side, you know I’ll take your hand. When it gets cold and it feels like the end, there’s no place to go, you know I won’t give in.

My Bones Ache

Ever since I got here (the 12th of February), I’ve been clubbing every Friday night, and last week, it was Friday AND Saturday too. I’m dead tired, my bones ache, and I think I’m coming down with something. Not to forget, the seasons are changing (autumn, baby!) so it’s getting really cold. My windows at home are just shut all the time, no fan, no air-cond needed. In Sean’s place, I’m freezing my ass off most of the time because the balcony door is open, so I have to sit with a blanket :(

Last Saturday at Boulevard, I got high for the first time in Melbourne! Ezra would be so proud of me. BTW, I haven’t been replying your messages because I constantly have no credit, so don’t think I don’t love you, okays? :P I spend $10 a day reloading my phone. A DAY! It’s cause SMSing and phone calls are so expensive here, argh. I still have credit on my calling card and house phone though, heh heh heh.

Playing Need For Speed on Sean and Jun’s brand new 42 inch plasma TV is quite addictive. We’ve also been watching a lot of movies. This morning we watched … erm .. I can’t quite remember what it’s called .. Van Wilder, I think. Then after that we watched (Mrina, you’d love this!) The Godfather, and I’m going back later to watch part 2 and 3 too, hee hee. We had $200 plus worth of DVDs to watch, oh kays! :P

Okay, my bones ache. I’m gonna go lie down. Later days.

Battle of the Fluff

Something’s been happening at Sean’s place for the past two to three days. I personally like to refer to it as ..

THE BATTLE OF THE FLUFF

Here’s what went down.

Sean and Jun went to BigW to stock up on things for their new place (and left me waiting for them for 50 minutes without so much as a phone call okay) and they found $50 Egyptian Bath Towels to match their $158 Egyptian Cotton sheets (insert rolling eyes smiley here). Jun bought white ones, while Sean bought blue ones, as well as a blue bath mat (I have the pink one :D )

All was fine and dandy, and those Egyptian towels are heaven because they’re so warm and fuzz y and big. You can wrap yourself up twice! :D But then, disaster struck. The blue towels and bath mat started fluffing up everywhere, so the entire (very clean, very white) bathroom was filled with blue threads and icky looking bits.

Sean went to take a shower in the morning, saw all the fluff, started screaming a lot of curse words, and we had to go all the way to BigW where we had to buy the best mop he could fine that could absorb the fluff. He spent the entire evening cleaning his bathroom :P

My exact words were “Leave the fluff alone, what did it every do to you?!” but then again, I’ve been to obsessed with Need For Speed on his XBOX 360 (why do I even go home when they have all the entertainment at their place?!?!) to bother while he starts swearing at innocent blue fluff. Then he washed the towels to try to de-fluff them, except when he opened the washing machine after that, there was blue water (complete with fluff) all over the floor.

Oh, funnyness :D

I know Ze tagged me, and I promise I’ll do it later because now I need to rush out to meet Ching Yi for lunch. Oh, and I forgot to mention that during a temporary lapse of judgement, my hair is now red.

Yes people, red.

Hello Folks!

I’m trying to attempt my Science, Philosophy, and History tutorial assignment now, but this stupid Monty Hall Puzzle is confusing the hell out of me. Not only that, I can’t do my Contemporary Ideologies and Movements assignment because the stupid UniMelb LMS portal is taking SO LONG to load, and the questions are there, ARGH. All the UniMelb portals are taking FOREVER to load. I don’t think it’s my connection (I got mine upgraded from 1GB to 6GB of bandwidth, hooray!) .

I keep thinking of the second pair of Bettina Liano jeans I tried on yesterday. They were really pretty too. I reaaaally feel like going back there to buy them as well, but argh, I can’t just blow another $200 on jeans again! If I do, then I’d have spent $400 plus on jeans in 2 days, and that’s about RM1000! *dies* I cannot handle this, LOL. Does anyone wanna wire me money, hmm hmm hmm? :D :D :D

I’m going to be getting a new phone soon. I’m gonna switch over to cap plans on Vodafone because it’s more worth it for me, meh. I’m gonna get the LG Chocolate in PINK. It’s meant to be HOT PINK, but I don’t know why, I can’t find hot pink on the colour palette. I’m just waiting for my bank to send me my statement so I can use it as ID, hee hee. Whee!

Okay, back to work, goodbye :(

Bettina Jeans

Noteworthy event!

I BOUGHT MY FIRST PAIR OF BETTINA LIANO JEANS TODAY!

That is all :D
